Welcome to Jumblies Day Nursery

Jumblies Day Nursery moved from the church hall in Penryn into the current premises on Jubilee Wharf in October 2006. We are a registered charity, run by a volunteer parent committee.

The nursery has 32 spaces. Our baby and toddler room has space for 6 children under the age of two years. Our highly experienced baby room leader together with a qualified nursery assistant care for the children in these rooms.

Our preschool room has spaces for up to 26 children. Up to 6 members of staff, all qualified and experienced, work in this room. Our outside area, with its beautiful views down the river is freely accessible for the children for most of the day.

We work to the statutory framework of regulations for the EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE to set the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five. All our staff access a minimum of 24 hours of training per year. Our last Ofsted inspection took place in March 2012 and resulted in Jumblies being judged Outstanding in all areas of our provision.

Twice a week the children and staff use the Zed Shed for dance, games and exercise sessions.

The children are regularly taken on small outings to the park, library and sensory room. We also use the Zed Shed for our Christmas Nativity and Summer Sports Day, to which all parents are invited.
