Sabine Underwood

Sabine was instrumental in moving the nursery from a preschool in Penryn's Methodist Church to it's premises on Jubilee Wharf in 2006. Sabine and Cath share the manager's post, with Sabine working four days a week.

Sabine has a BA Hons degree in Early Childhood studies as well as having  Early Years Professional Status.

Sabine works closely with Cath and Maddi in planning and running the nursery. In her free time she enjoys exploring Cornwall and being on or by the sea.

Cath Phillis

Cath was instrumental in moving the nursery from a preschool in Penryn's Methodist Church to it's premises on Jubilee Wharf in 2006. Cath is a qualified early years practitioner, who also holds a level 3 qualification in Management. Cath and Sabine share the manager's post, with Cath working two days and concentrating on the financial side of the nursery. When she is not working, she likes to spend time with her Grandchildren.

Maddi Murley

Maddi has been Jumblies Deputy Manager since September 2015. As well as being in charge of the preschool room, Maddi is Jumblies Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). She has a BA Hons degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked in Nurseries in England and Ireland as well as holiday camps in the US.She is passionate about caring for, and educating young children.

Laura Talabudsinow

Laura has been the nurseries Baby and Toddler Room Leader since 2016. She started as a level 3 Apprentice in the preschool room in 2010, and was taken on as a Nursery Assistant, once qualified, in the preschool room. She enjoys looking after the babies and toddlers and they thrive in her calm manner, as do her nieces and nephew when she is not at work. Any spare time is spend socialising and going to dance and exercise classes.

Megan Forder

Megan has been at Jumblies since 2008. She holds an NVQ 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. Megan used to be in charge of the Baby and Toddler Room, since returning to work, after having her daughter in 2014, she now works in the Preschool Room as a Nursery Assistant on three days a week. When not working, she spends time with her daughter as well as her niece and nephew.

Roseanne Henry

Roseanne came to Jumblies as a placement student from Truro College, where she was completing a NVQ 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, in 2012. Since finishing college she has been employed by Jumblies as a full time Nursery Assistant in the Baby Room. She is very passionate about dance, especially Ballet and volunteers to teach the younger children at a dance school in Redruth.

Alice Strutton

Alice came to Jumblies as a placement student from Truro College, where she was completing a Level 3 Childcare and Education Diploma. She finished college in June 2015 and has since worked in Jumblies Preschool Room as a Nursery Assistant.

Chloe Deacon

Chloe has completed the NVQ3 in Early years childcare. She is a nursery room assistant, who enjoys music, socialising and being outdoors. We welcome Chloe to our team.

Sam King

Sam is Jumblies lunchtime supervisor, cleaner and bank staff. Her eccentric character is loved by all, especially on dressing up days, so watch out.

In her spare time Sam is a keen runner, makes silver jewelry and looks after her grand children.

Jodie Kotenko

Jodie has a level 3 Early years Educator qualification and has just started working towards the Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Education. Jodie is enthusiastic and energetic, she enjoys exercising and socialising.

Anne Kitchener

Anne is Jumblies Bank staff. She used to be a Teaching Assistant at Penryn Secondary School. Anne likes spending time with her family, especially her grand children, going for walks and spending time in her garden. She is also very fond of cream teas.

Ruth Atkins

Ruth has been a Primary Teacher for over 20 years and has extensive experience in special needs education. She has been on the committee since 2010, when her own children attended Jumblies.  She is Jumblies Chair of the Committee.

Phil Watkins

Phil's daughter has been attending Jumblies since the family moved from London a few years ago. He works in hospitality, but has taken some time out this Winter to oversee renovations on the new family home. In their free time, the family likes to spend time on the beach with friends and family.

Anneliese Meagor

Anneliese’s eldest attended Jumblies and has recently moved on to start school. Anneliese’s youngest is currently transitioning into the bigs room.
Anneliese enjoys working part time as an Occupational Therapist providing  rehabilitation to neurological patients. She spends the rest of her time with family and friends and in her me time likes to swim, crochet and do yoga.hat's this item about? What makes it interesting? Sophie Pellow

Sophie’s daughters have both attended Jumblies, since they were 9 months old in the baby room. Sophie’s eldest daughter has just started Primary school (Sept 2019), and her youngest daughter is still attending Jumblies. Sophie has been a dental nurse for 16years and works at Waterside Dentalcare, where she is the Mental Health First Aider for the company.

Hannah & Ashley Searle

Ashley and Hannah Searle's children both attend Jumblies. Ashley is a self employed Electrician and Hannah, Caths daughter had previously been apart of Jumblies for 10 years. In that time, she had worked in the Big's Room as a nursery assistant, completed her Early Years Degree and spent 4 years being our Deputy Manager.  and a Mum to her daughter Ava and son Charlie.

Louise Bennett

My oldest daughter attended Jumblies a few years back, she is now in Primary School. My youngest daughter is currently in Jumblies baby and toddler room.
I work in IT/AV at Penryn University Campus, previously I worked as a Broadcast Engineer and Violin Teacher.
In my spare time I love growing fruit and veggies, tinkering with inventions and having picnic advertures with my family.

David Sullivan

David has been part of Jumblies Committee since 2012. Both of his boys attended Jumblies and have now gone off to school. David has been the nursery's treasurer for several years.
