Welcome to Jumblies Day Nursery
Jumblies Day Nursery opened on Jubilee Wharf in October 2006. The nursery has 6 places for children under the age of two years and 26 places for children aged between two and four years of age.
We have a baby and toddler room for 0-2 year olds, see here for more information, and we have a Pre-school room for 2-4 year olds, see here for more information.
The nursery is a registered charity, run by a parent committee, which meets termly. Jumblies last Ofsted inspection took place in March 2016, when the nursery was once again judged to be outstanding.
We are open from 8 o’clock in the morning until 6 o’clock in the evening from Monday to Friday.
We work to the statutory framework of regulations for the EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE to set the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five and all our staff access regular training.
Twice a week the children and staff use the Zed Shed for dance, games, play and exercise sessions. On a Wednesday morning we have Sharon come in to teach and involve the 3&4 year olds in French. We also have Kate in once a week for yoga and encourage communication through our 'BIG sing, little sing' program.
Without doubt, Jumblies has played a hugely important and special part of our young children's lives. The love, care and warmth shown by every single member of the team has blown us away. Both children attended Jumblies starting in the Babyroom until they left for school. The facilities are fantastic and the children have so many opportunities. The best part about it is the dedicated staff that have brought joy and happiness to our little ones.
